Dale ter Haar, DS ter Haar's Principal, has six years of experience in minerals and energy development in Botswana, notably as Botswana MD of a multinational company undertaking a major coal and energy project, and related infrastructure.

Dale ter Haar is a Motswana with strong international ties having spent over 20 years studying and working in Europe.
Following secondary education at Sevenoaks School in Kent, Dale spent two years at an International School in Holland where he sat for his International Baccalaureate. This was followed by a BSc in Business at Cardiff University. Dale then attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst before spending 9 years as a British Army officer serving with the Royal Dragoon Guards, a main battle tank regiment. This career culminated with command of 14 tanks as a Squadron Leader in the rank of Major. Service included time spent in the USA, Canada, Germany, the Middle East and Northern Ireland. Dale also qualified as a submariner during a 4 months tour with the Royal Navy.
Upon moving back to Botswana, Dale opened and supervised, the Botswana office of CIC Energy, a major Botswana based coal and energy development company as Managing Director. Following 6 years in this role he left to establish his own consultancy that he sees filling a gap in the Botswana market.
Dale also serves as a non executive director on the board of Stanbic Bank (Pty) Ltd, Hydrocon (Pty) Ltd , BSE listed Chobe Holdings PLC and is also Chairperson of the Lady Khama Charitable Trust.
